Well i did not get anything out of the pump so I pulled it. I got the relay too. Here are some pictures. Looks like the inter-cooler stopped the oil from going in the engine. Next week I am going to drop the turbo and drop the rest of the exhaust. I can then find someone to clean it out.
1. Is cleaning the inter-cooler a good idea, and how should it be done? 2. Were can I get a new oil pump, or should I have mine rebuilt? https://imgur.com/a/eAjOV07 |

If the exa is bad get a new one but first try to runbit on 12v. If it's still busted replace it. Sasha can probably source you one or do like I did and amazon prime that bastard. You can easily clean the intercooler and exhaust by yourself. You need a couple gallons of gas and a bucket. Degreaser didn't work worth a crap. I said it's easy but it's a pain in the ***. Or.....you can just smokebomb till it burns off. Been there, good luck.

I am making good progress. I need to just get one bolt off the turbo.... but it is the hardest one. Does anyone have advice on how to get the top right one; when looking from the passenger side? I have some pictures of my progress and the last bolt i'm working on. I'm just doing it a few hours on a weekend day. I figured it would make it easier and not as stressful. Also does anyone have a link to the pdf download for the install guide? I will need to to put it back together. I'm bagging and tagging but will need the guide.

As for the top bolt, pull the oil reservoir off the turbo, and use a wrench from the transmission side.

Hey guys,
Was back at it again. After i got the pump off i took the bottom plate off to see what happened. I see no shear pin? in one of the gears; and if im correct that is what attach's the gears to the pump!! is there anyway to just get the pump rebuilt? it seems if you replace the shear pin it should work. Any ideas or info? https://imgur.com/a/mlcCwbi |

Those gears look mint. Did you pull the gears out at all? If the motor is running there is absolutely no reason for a rebuild. I have never seen one of these fail.

![]() Never bothered. In my case it was post popping the motor. I had small debris inside but nothing big. However seeing my oil pan I can guess that something big may have gone through. My problem was a circlip. But the pump itself is a good product. The worst oversight I made was not getting an inline filter to save it. The inlines were on their site. With my new one it runs like a top and I think the other one would've too barring me blowing the motor. |
