After seeing all the positive reviews of this turbo kit, I couldn't help but to place my order for one. Cant wait to get mine

List is up to date.

I am on a 8 day vacation with my wife (10 year anniversary) next week, so if I don't reply to some of the PM's, that would be the reason.

I should have no issues getting the first 6 kits out to you guys before end of February.

$10?

TheWeez 01-25-2016 06:16 PM

Looks like everyone bought the bait to pay for Sasha's vacation. No turbos for anyone :) :)

Thank you, it is our first trip ever without the kids, so we will enjoy it for sure. Daughter turned 13 today too...I am getting old, real fast.

Beautiful kit! I've got a couple of questions for you (or anyone who might know):

1. So the air filter is located "under" the car, right? Is there any risk of sucking up water (or other debris) on rainy days?

2. Are there any specific shops you work with in the States for installation?

3. How difficult is the installation process, if I were to do it myself?

4. Any pics of the engine bay from the top?

Thanks!

1. The air filter is above the subframe, and well protected from all sides. Unless you are driving through 10" of water, there is nothing to worry about.

2. Where are you located? There are a hand full of shops that have installed and tuned this kit. Dynosty, Z1, Specialty Z, R/T tuning and at least a couple of others.

3 This is an easy install compared to all other forced induction options on the market. The hardest part will probably be the removal of the converters, and for some the OEM oil pan.

4. Oddly enough I can't find a good picture...have a look at this customers build thread:

I drove my Z with this kit in the rain many times without issue. I did have water related issues twice. Once when it was raining so hard I couldn't drive faster than 30 mph on the interstate, and even then driving was questionable. The plastic under shroud also wasn't on and I'm sure that allowed the water access to the filter much easier. And the other time was when I drove through a very large ocean in the middle of the interstate. Again it had been raining hard (my area of work is notorious for flooding quickly) and I was unable to avoid this patch of water. Both times the car ran a little rich under boost until the water dried out. I obviously didn't boost again until it was safe to do so. I wouldn't worry about water though. This only happened to me twice in the many times I drove the car in the rain. Sometimes pretty hard. It's just something I was a little more mindful of. In order to cause real damage you would have to drive in about a foot deep of water. Even after that, water was of no real concern to me. Debris either. Many many folks on this forum have had no issues with water either.

Installation: If you can change the catalytic converters on your car, you can do this. I would have a friend or two help you and take your time, but this isn't anything you couldn't handle yourself if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. Personally I would recommend installing it yourself that way you have a better understanding of the components and how they work together. It will help you out tremendously when it comes to troubleshooting later if you need it.
