Default p0101 + p0106 codes ?

Brought the z out to get some runs in and attend a car meet since the weather is nice this weekend in the NE, driving along in 6th gear it bogs, service engine light comes on.

Got these two codes, p0101 + p0106 ?

Reset with obd and the car drives fine now. This ever happen to anyone ? Faulty MAF or MAP, dirty or something?

Is the map sensor on our cars actually used for anything other than eval? Thought i saw somewhere it is disabled in uprev?

its probably pertaining to the p0101, the maf code. The other code was probably set off by the p0101.

I had this exact same problem, I found a bad connect in the maf wiring, where it was cut and spliced. When the cars idling, grab your bank 1 harness and shake it around. see if the code comes back on. if so, then you know its in the wiring.

could also be a dirty MAf.

Wiggled it around and couldn't get the code to come back, weird. Going to try to clean the MAFS.

On a side note, anyone know what this aluminum foil looking heat wrap is called ? trying to find something a little prettier to replace it with

Unless you ordered it large enough to fit over the MAF plug you'll probably have to slice it open and zip tie. That's how I did all mine just so I knew it was wrapped tight and wouldn't move around.

It's real easy to cut the string that holds it together. Just place a pair of scissors inside at the seam and pull firmly on the sleeve

Late bump but .. Are you boosted ?

I bypassed the MAFs altogether by going with ECUTEK and tuning on speed density, upgraded my MAP sensor to an omni 4 bar. Haven't had any issues since

I'm boosted and I get the same code. I was told that my map sensor is only programmed to read vacuum up to 0. I need a tune to get it programmed to read boost. I'm most likely going with the EcuTek, although I heard uprev' new update that offers launch control is pretty compatible with EcuTek now. Map sensor codes could also be thrown due to a dirty throttle body

Not sure if you can do this with Uprev, but with Ecutek you can get tuned by speed density. You'd have to upgrade your map sensor to an omni 4 bar

This eliminates the pesky MAF issues.

I got the MAP sensor code, and my tuner just turned it off in Uprev. No problems since.
