Are you going to do the higher rpm kit or leave it as is?

Ill leave it as is. Vortech says it can spin to 52000Rpm.

Ill wait and see what kind of boost I get with this setup and go from there.

I would get that thing out of there. It is going to cause some pressure drop but worse it will become a heat soak. It is going to get really hot under wot and when your stopped it will retain a ton of engine bay heat. Then when you go to get on it again it will just blow that hot air into your intake. That air will be unmetered also so you are back to the same problem of your car is thinking its getting cold air but its not and will not retard timing.

But maybe I'm being paranoid.

I am confused. I just spoke with them and they said it will max at 53K and they helped me through the calculator on their site. Even though it says teeth count, you can use diameter. Here is a snapshot of my setup. I'm already over the recommended with some larger pulleys.

I can pull it out about 3 ", I just didn't want to cut it right there.

but I think im gonna have to :(

Got the intake manifold off, If you have a 12mm EZ-RED 21" long rachett wrench with pivot head, makes the job super easy. Got the Intercooler out, dropping it off in a few hours at the machine shop to have a plate fabbed up!

Nice work! I made my block off plate last night. Going to paint it black.

Really interested to see where this all goes. I had been looking into a Stillen kit already, and this is just making my wallet itch even more.

Gah.

Wasn't the plan to clock the sc to go straight down? Just curious what changed the plan?

90° doesnt work. But 180 does. This design went with 0 and it worked out great.

JWillis72 07-28-2015 07:05 PM

I have no problem with the design, just curious why it changed.
