Do you have a dyno sheet that shows your boost ramp-in curve as a baseline?

I don't, but im sure I can easily obtain it!

TopgunZ 08-18-2015 01:37 PM

You should. That will tell you a lot.

I wonder if the boost will come on a lot lower in the rpm with the smaller pulley?

The boost will come on sooner with the smaller pulley.

jaytirbhaw 08-25-2015 01:30 PM

results?

JWillis72 08-25-2015 01:32 PM

In the other thread.

EVOHUNTER 08-25-2015 02:00 PM

No results, Maxed my mafs at 5000 rpm.

A fix is in the works.

octet 09-27-2015 04:33 AM

Any more news / results on this?

This will be revisited in the spring, and I will try to make dual 3" charge pipes to the TB's. That will take care of it for sure.

octet 01-18-2016 06:26 PM

Hey, is the spring here yet? :) I'd really love to see some further development / final product on this project!

Pauly Z 01-29-2016 03:33 PM

Are you changing the intercooler to a dual outlet? Or are you still going to "Y" the outlet just closer to the intercooler?

TopgunZ 01-29-2016 04:19 PM

He will have to Y it. There isn't any room to get 2 pipes into the engine bay.

Boosted Performance / EVOHUNTER

I've contacted both of you, I'm in the process of doing the same thing and have questions as your method of how you did this is different and i want to see if I'm missing something or somethings been overlooked...

Numonik 02-15-2016 03:04 PM

EVOHunter,

Please contact me, I've been looking at this thread for almost 8 hours going over every pic and think I have a solution I'm not sure you tried. I was maxing out my Mafs at 8psi because of a very poor design with the Y pipe for the Mafs... It took me all of 2015 to figure out why I was getting this issue...

Seeing that you are still using this part in your build (at least from the pics it looks like you are) I think the same solution will fix your problem (if you haven't tried it)!

Pauly Z 02-15-2016 03:33 PM

Sub'd. I'm working on the same thing.

We dumped the y pipe and went to a single intake now. The mafs have been moved in front on the TBS's. The reason the mafs maxed out is because they work on voltage, 1-5volts. Depends on the amount of air they see, they adjust the voltage telling the ecu the air coming in. My Maf pipe is too small, and seeing to much air, hense maxing them out.

You can make a bigger pipe, or a dual setup, this will combat this issue.

You can also tune of a MAP sensor, super easy, this is the route I went.

Just waiting for dyno/tuner!

heres a picture of the new intake.

Lol where is the pic of the MAFs?

OK so that setup works then? I just need to space the MAFs?

TopgunZ 02-16-2016 09:11 AM

?? You should read through the threads. This setup does not work with MAF's.

EVOHUNTER 02-16-2016 09:13 AM

This setup will only work with SD tuning through ECUTEK.

You need a Haltech 3bar map sensor, inline filter, and needs to be hooked up to your factory vacuum lines.

Pauly Z 02-16-2016 09:21 AM

Oh, I was confused cause you still have the MAFS in there

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

EVOHUNTER 02-16-2016 09:31 AM

MAfs are only there for IAT temp signals.

JWillis72 02-16-2016 03:28 PM

When are you SD tuning it?

Boosted Performance 02-16-2016 04:19 PM

This build will be re-visited in the spring and the corrections will be made to make this work with MAF sensors as well.

I have a few ideas brewing in my head, and at least one will work for sure.

But never hear a word from stillen... I dunno it just bothers me... I don't see people with FI,AAM, BP kits always having to figure out ways to fix issues and 9/10 times I see Patrick from AAM or someone from FI working to solve the issues or chiming
In to atleast put some input..BP is always here to help his customers.. Sorry rant over lol

Edit - BP make me a single turbo setup to work with my 7at automatic lol

I think this is because the other boost kits satisfy out needs and are a lot more versatile and able to accommodate future needs. The other kits had "upgrade" in mind while Stillen had a goal and met it (to make a little more power and carb) with no "upgrade" in mind.

Very well explained :tup::tup:

EliteXpress 02-16-2016 10:59 PM

For me this is why I sold my 2010 Stillen Supercharged Z and decided to start over. I wanted more power and just didn't want to push what I had any further. I currently have a deposit on a new BP Kit. :driving:

nvdave04 02-16-2016 11:38 PM

I agree with all said but if I remember correctly even with running the Kit as intended people were still seeing bad readings... To me it just does not make any since.. But I am very thankful for the people on this forum and what they contribute to ensure all the bugs are gone. BP and Topgunz A2A kits are my only savior and those people I do have faith In. Keep up the great work!

omG37S 03-18-2016 08:38 PM

I asked this on myG37.com, but I figured I would pose it here, as well, since this thread seemed to have the best and most information:

"What is the difference between the 370Z kit and the G37 coupe RWD kit? I found a great deal for one locally. Guy blew his engine from running the 10lb pulley with upgraded impeller with too small of injectors (GT-R injectors.) He has the 8lb, 9lb, and 10lb pulley included. He is also throwing in the trans cooler.

I intend to buy the FrozenBoost intercooler, 750cc injectors, 340lhp pump, GT-R spark plugs, Gator belt(s), and possibly the lightweight pulley for my initial install. I already have UpRev, so I will stick with that until the A2A kit has more time and is improved more, then I'll switch the EcuTek. Also will take off my hfc, and put back on the stock cats. I have 275 tires in rear, which only have about 3k miles on them, so I'll wait until I go A2A, or the tires are bald, before moving up to 305 (if they fit in my well -- 20x10.5 +35, dropped on coilovers) but no less than 295.

My initial goal was 500+whp, but I am going to remain realistic, and ~420whp will have to suffice until I go A2A.

Do I need to do the valve body upgrade right away, or wait until I go over 500whp? Also, I wanted a csf radiator, but don't believe they make one for the automatic. Any suggestions?

Any answers, help, advice, links would be greatly appreciated."

Curious...since TopGunZ has a kit out is Sasha /BP still looking at furthering this kit?

Boosted Performance 05-22-2016 04:43 PM

Yes I am, just trying to find some time to get back at it so I can make a few sets of pipes.

octet 08-03-2016 05:59 PM

Any developments Sasha?

Boosted Performance 08-03-2016 11:44 PM

I have not made any progress on this.
