Wholly crap - Sasha does it again! Well done - Stillen should just hire you!

I can't even keep up with the turbo demand, imagine if I cam up with a wicked s/c kit...:)

quick 3 second google. i've read this outcome on pretty much any build thread that tried to open up the exhaust.

edit - damn that's a very reasonable price, i would have overpaid by $250-$750 as mentioned above and not asked any questions.

:excited: for results

Of course boost pressure will drop when you open up the exhaust. A proper tune will get you right back up there, and the system will operate in a much higher efficiency range.

Yes, the core will be pulled out and a block off plate will be made.

Thank you...I love doing this stuff to be honest. When I see a system that was poorly designed and would benefit from being with me for a week, I get really excited. R&D and engineering is what I really like to do.

EVOHUNTER 07-25-2015 09:36 AM

Car drove home great with my existing tune, at first it would barely drive.

but the computer seemed to learn its new trims pretty fast and had no problem.

The BPV is extremely loud even being recirculated it back into the intake. I was going to vent it to the atmosphere. But i'm happy with how it sounds now, so ill leave it alone.

Im sending the pipes out for powder coating Monday, fabing up a block off plate for the manifold.

You left out that the Stillen kits would make 500hp on their can tune. :rofl2:

Im definitely interested in buying this

nismo 1234 07-25-2015 11:14 AM

Is there room to fit a custom crash beam in there?

Definitely interested in this upgrade

Custom, yes. OEM no.

I will be ordering some more intercoolers in the next couple of months or so, and will order 10 of these...for this kit, with the opposing inlet/outlet. I am positive that this configuration will do very well, and that you guys are going to bother me A LOT about this upgrade

EliteXpress 07-25-2015 07:19 PM

Have not seen the end result yet, but count me in for being SOLD!

JWillis72 07-25-2015 07:21 PM

Is there any reason that this would be bad for a track car? If not I want one, PM me if you want a credit card number.

Correct. The air/air system is a lot more efficient, and you won't be heat soaking everything.

Ill 07-26-2015 12:34 AM

Beautiful as always Sasha!

I'm always kicking myself for not being a BP customer :ughdance:

mikey1600 07-26-2015 02:14 AM

looks awesome man, don't think there would be any issues with RHD either.. I'll look into getting this from you on the batch when the intercoolers come in :)

As long as the blower setup is on your passenger side (ours is driver side)

Then there shouldn't be a problem!

swiss370Z 07-26-2015 11:48 AM

Well done BP :tup::tup::tup::tup:

I think it is about time for a bulk order!

Once the first measurements are present, I'm in!

BTW: Hope YOU can ship to Switzerland

JWillis72 07-26-2015 05:33 PM

Are you running the 9 lb pulley and impeller upgrade with this set up?

yeah it's all on the same side/setup :D

what setup will you be running? pretty sure remember reading somewhere you are waiting on a built motor, so are you still running the standard 9lb kit or upgraded the impeller already?

after seeing this, going to get impeller upgrade done on my blower and injectors/pump ready for e85!

EVOHUNTER 07-27-2015 08:31 AM

I have a impeller, I have a full cog set up.

I have a custom 2.43" pulley for the 7 Rib serp side.

this ill be doing next year with a return fuel system and 850cc injectors.

This year I have the stillen 2.75" pulley on the serp side.

And the I put on the 2.75" pulley on the blower. has anyone does this setup yet?

This should be around 10 psi I think?

Someone chime in for me.

EVOHUNTER 07-27-2015 09:31 AM

Im tying to figure out what kind of boost im gonna see.

Cranks is 5.75"

Both pulleys on the jack shaft are 2.75" and the blower pulley is 2.75"

I can only find a calculator for a impeller rpm.

JWillis72 07-27-2015 09:45 AM

Where did you get the cog set up and pulleys from?

mikey1600 07-27-2015 09:48 AM

Sweet as, are you expecting any gains from the conversion alone after tune? or just all prep before the big mods

For my setup next year

34 Tooth Count Jackshaft Pulley vortech - 4GR032-034

30 Tooth/35mm Supercharger Pulley votech - 4GR033-030

Gates belt Part number 5608MGT20 for the cog pulleys

idler from from 04 350z.

This year

I have a 2.75" pulley from stillen on the serp belt side.

A 2.75" on jackshaft and a 2.70" from vortech on the blower. Stillen has a 3.12" on the blower!

JWillis72 07-27-2015 10:46 AM

Thanks for the info! Man you are going to cost me a lot of money! Did you do headers on your car?

A lot of people forget about the spacer behind the pulleys on the blower.

This causes the belt to be slightly crossed. My friend has the same setup in his 350hr hes running 16 psi, on the V3 blower. He hasn't had any problems as of yet!

No headers, oem.

JWillis72 07-27-2015 11:26 AM

Do you know what size that spacer needs to be?

EVOHUNTER 07-27-2015 12:16 PM

Honestly, I don't.

I used a standard washer that fit over the supercharger shaft, and ground it down to the size I needed. I'm going to post a full DIY for the cog setup on the V3.

EVOHUNTER 07-27-2015 03:59 PM

Im trying to find a idler pulley with a flange on the edges, but all I can find is a 3"..

I think it will be to big.

im gonna ditch the idler with no flanges, I feel the flanges will only help with keeping the belt straight.

I need one like this! but not 3.5"s lol

2010-2011 Camaro Cog Drive Upgrade Assembly | Vortech Superchargers

JTran had mine made. Custom 2.5" idler. It worked perfect with the 34T-30T cogs on my HR. I think they kept the drawings for it in case someone else needed one. They pressed in the same bearings the stock Stillen idler used. Give them a call, they might still have mine sitting up there. They are open Tuesday-Saturday. Amber should remember the pulley, but it was a while back.

Thanks bro! im gonna see if they can provide me with one of those brackets for the supercharger mounting plate flexing aswell.

I think my car was the only one they setup that way. So Amber or Johnny will be the best people to talk to about it. The others may not remember it.

TopgunZ 07-27-2015 05:18 PM

Pro4Jackster, I think I have your old kit. I have the flex bar and the idler pulley your talking about. :icon17:

JWillis72 07-27-2015 05:46 PM

If you don't mind please post what they tell you. I will buy one of the pulleys and brace also if that helps talk them into making them.

Damn. I get around.

That setup made 15+psi with no problems for around 1000 miles. I never got a chance to push it any further.

JWillis72 07-27-2015 06:15 PM

What did you get for power?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pro4Jackster 07-27-2015 06:49 PM

We never dyno'd it to see. I'd hate to even guess. We just ran it on the break-in tune for the built motor. Then at 1000 miles pulled it off and sold the kit.

I do remember there being a ceiling somewhere around 450-475 hp for me. And I don't know if it was an airflow problem before the S/C, an IAT problem, or belt slip above 15 psi. This Boosted Performance setup should solve two of those problems. It's going to be interesting to see what people do with this kit now.
