Any one have a video on there belt tension on the blower side.

I need someone to grab the belt and twist it on video so i can go from there.

I think I've got the tension right..

Z84. How close to the top of the idler pulley bracket are you? Stock pulleys on there?

StillenZ84 08-16-2015 07:34 PM

I have about another 1/2 inch I can go on the bracket. Stock jack and SC pulleys but I put a 2 3/4 inch idler pulley on there that my tuner had laying around after the smaller stock pulley blew out. I was pretty much maxed out on the bracket with the smaller stock pulley.

I tried to use a pulley that size with the 2.75" on the blower. but it bent the tensioner bracket. That thing is flimsy. Im on the dyno next weekend so hopefully everything goes good. Ill be able to give you guys an idea of boost from this 2.75" on the charger.

I also found that when you twist your supercharger belt, you can see your blower moving. the bracket flexes so easy.

I made a new bracket on our cnc machine. Made it out of 7075 al. That grade is twice as strong as 6061 and tge stillen one could be made of even a lower grade. Didn't cut the bolt slot out. So this thing should be 4x stronger.

I also have a 3" idler.

My only setback from dynoing Saturday will be if my intake has a shipping delay. It will be very close.

So does anyone actually have these conversion parts for sale yet or is everything being fabricated by your local shops?

TopgunZ 08-17-2015 09:29 AM

No. He sent it ground and said it is supposed to be here Friday. He said air would have been like $125 more. I have the tracking number but it says it is not found in UPS's system. Kinda nervous. If I don't get it Friday then my dyno will be pushed out by 3 weeks or more since they are super busy. That would really, really suck.

I think Sasha will be in the market soon. But, I cant speak for him. He did make a post stating his upgrade kit will be $1750 for the a2a setup.

However, if your talking about the upgrades to handle more power other than the a2a conversion, then we are all just "one offing" them ourselves.

So far for more power you will need:
Air to Air setup (with MAF relocation)
Upgraded pulley bracket
Upgraded idler pulley on SC side
Main bracket Anti-flex bar/bracket
Series of pulleys and/or Impeller upgrade
Larger injectors and pump - RFS recommended

You should take a day off on Friday and cancel all plans to wait on your door step. I missed my delivery guy by 45 mins and had to wait 3 more days just to drive and pick something up. I also missed an autox event which I was pissed. Hopefully it all works out for you on sat.
