Say someone was to copy the bracket that holds the blower from a gtm kit, how illegal would that be? How different from original would it need to be? Or is that area just off limits, like iv heard sts has a patent for rear mount turbos

I was wondering the same on the hood. I liked the looks of my stillen. But there you have a company making kits who also make a hood to fit it all. I wonder who the company developing this new one is and if they plan to offer a hood with the kit. They almost have to if its required.
|
If they make it to fit the current hood they would have to integrate the unit into the intake manifold...

hmmm.... love roots-type blowers... hate the 350z hood. that might be a dealbreaker unless they come up with something that flows better.
airirankin... minimum if you get that GTM 1.5 have someone 3D model that sucker, please. Not sure how much it would cost, but I'd be willing to chip in on, or pay for the work. |
I would LOVE to see another option other than the Stillen kit,. Just so they dont have the market cornered. :/

I think the biggest challenge will be to fit it all under the oem hood. It will need something like the TVS2300 to get the power we are all looking for. Roots setups are just so simple and effective. I would rather put one on then take my cats off again..lol. |

i would love to see a roots blower aswell, but im talking with martin on the gtm kit now. the only other thing that i could see being a problem is the motor mount. i talked to shasha before about just buying the charge piping from his kit to do a custom turbo, so with those brackets and his charge piping you just need to buy the rotrex and you got a tuner kit.
on another note tho, if i were to get this kit off of martin i would have the blower to play with, if i were to make a bracket out of wood i could have it reproduced out of aluminum anitvenom, and topgunz i could have you print out a custom intake portion to the blower? |
the progress of this thread continues to make me smile.
