I am interested to know.

I would assume you would need to remove the kit and have the brackets mapped out by a cnc machinist so they can remake the brackets.

Dude, go turbo.

I regret going with a charger, seriously.

After being in a 370 with a BP kit, I must say, I f'd up lol.

I have tried to find CNC Shops but they are not willing to take on the challenge of re-engineering.

Some CNC businesses have told me to seek an Auto customizing shop that involved with performance. That option is an dead end.

And suggestions would be appreciated and welcomed?

talking completely out of my rear-end as i don't have any experience with this, but couldn't it be taken to someone that does 3d modeling? i assume (we all know what that say about that) that a CNC uses some kind of 3d file to make something like this, right?

i guess what i am asking is, what does it take to backengineer brackets? it's basically a shape cut/cast in whatever the correct steel alloy is for the application. or maybe i am completely off base.

called stillen, unfortunately you cant just buy the blower/bracket seperately. would have liked to go this route.

you bought a 370z with there stillen set up already on the car*wink wink*. You rear ended someone and the blower and bracket are destroyed. Insurance wont replace the whole kit. there Only willing to replace the blower and bracket. They wouldn't sell me a intake pipe at first. then I told them insurance isn't going to replace a 7000$ kit for a 200$ piece. They ended up selling the pipe I needed. Talk to someone high up, don't talk to a regular sales guy.

The piping is easy to do, the SC/pulley/belt is off the shelf from the research I am digging into with replacing mine. Even GTM just sourced theirs through another company not even directly from Rotrex.

The main items that would need to be designed are the SC bracket that holds the SC to our engine and how GTM routed the PS lines and anything custom on those lines.

Besides those 2 items above I do not see anything really 'custom' having been done that another shop could not replicate with some time or even improve upon by changing a few things for the better.

Phunk...you wouldn't happen to be looking at getting into the supercharger market would you? :)

TopgunZ 03-18-2015 02:49 PM

If there is ever another "properly sized" roots setup for this platform I'd be all.......

airikrankin 03-18-2015 02:51 PM

U could always but a smaller/bigger whatever needs be pulley on the vortech and throw a wastegate on before the intercooler. Would only work on a blow thru maf setup.

I just heard today of another company coming out with a roots style charger for the Z... The owner said he will send me some pics of the progress but from what he said they are 80% done. I will post up pics and details when I get them. All i know at this moment is that its being worked on and about 80% complete... Dont ask who yet as they dont want to officially announce it until it is done and in stock. until then I will post teasers when i get info.

airikrankin 03-23-2015 03:22 PM

u just cant come in here ans say that! i want a new thread, progress pics, and a shipping date for the group buy

bullitt5897 03-23-2015 03:30 PM

I am just saying that there is another kit in the works. I will post up if it comes to fruition... Any information I receive I will post up. I will eventually make a new thread once all the information is available. but as of right now think of it as in the works... I dont know timelines yet either... I wont be able to answer questions until I get more info myself and anything I get I will forward with no filter.

someone needs to buy that gtm twin sc that is for sale right now and duplicate the drivers side bracket. then putting the rest together shouldnt be a problem.
