I didn't. Most of it has rubbed off... If you really want to clean it, you could spray it down with some citrus cleaner a couple of times to soften it up and then blast if off with a pressure washer.

I'm not really sure.. I have had mine since October. I think it could easily last a year+, but I don't really take great care of mine...

Saw your car in Carillon last week. I thought it looked familiar.

it just depends on the quality of the installer just like a wrap job.

Plasti Dipping your whole car is catching on. They've even picked up chameleon, metallic and gloss versions of the stuff.

Check out DipYourCar.com

I'm probably going to pick up a kit and try it once or twice. Looks like (with the right practice and attention to detail) you can do a completely removable, show quality paint job on your car for roughly $300-$500, rather than a $5k paint job that you’re stuck with. Once you get tired of it, you simply peal it off and your stock paint is still in mint condition (provided that’s how it was when you dipped it).

More like the fad is pretty much phasing out.

Sorry to say this Ken -

But you've been out to get PD since we started spraying it a couple years ago..

Its definitely not a fad. Unless you think vinyl wrappings a fad too?

I make more money dipping cars then I did at my office job working full time. Theres some serious growth going on with liquidwraps and protective coatings.

2011 - 8.3 Million in sales
2014- 35.7 Million in sales
2015- Projected 38-40 Million in sales just with Plastidip

Theres 2 other VERY large coating companies that are side by side PD and will continue to grow.

Your ignorance for bashing on this product cracks me up

People who try to predict what things are fads and what will stick around are notoriously off much of the time. Mostly because you never know what's going to catch on with the public... that, and we're not psychic.

If memory serves, Steve Balmer said something similar when the iphone came out. That's comparing apples and koi oranges, though.

Time will tell. Maybe it's a fun fad. Maybe it lasts. Maybe it's around until something better comes along. But, it's sure grown out of it's infomercial origins into a legitimate product and industry in the meantime.

To each their own.

Wow a lot of Hondas were sold around that time huh? , jokes aside with no disrespect intended I think Ken is more old-school, I like himself think that Plasti dip is rather cheap and makes it look like a less classier car. With that being said that's OUR opinion. (Well mine atleast) I think that Plasti dip for the cost is a great alternative however I just don't think it justifies being on a 30k car. The Z itself already looks gorgeous in ANY color so plasti dipping it takes away from the "Classiness" the clean and sleek look. (I hope that my opinion has not offended any of the Plasti Dip users, I still love yall wether you use that crap or not )
