Replaced my factory Gauges!

**Update**
YOU CANNOT DELETE THE FACTORY SENSORS. service engine soon light came on
The oil temp and oil pressure sending units are different threads..

Factory oil pressure sending unit is 1/8bpst I believe. So i bought a 1/8bspt-1/8npt nipple. a female cross, and all three sensors are screwed into the cross. i bought all the high pressure fittings from http://www.mcmaster.com

So after seeing a few threads on here i decided to tackle this... this was the worst installation ive done :rofl2: i had to literally rip out the factory gauges because i didnt feel like taking out the entire dash. so here it is

Gauges:
Podi oil pressure and oil temp
Innovate Motorsports Wide band

i trimmed the stock bezels a bit and got them to siz very flush which i was happy about! Wired them all up through the factory gauge harness. here are some pics of the install. just thought i would share it with everyone. taking better pics tonight after i clean her up!

let me know what you guys think. thanks

After ripping everything out :wtf2:

And it starts to come together

added these switches in. saw where another member had used them. required very little trimming and look great

Is that an Air/Fuel gauge (with 7.4) ?

R/T Tuning 10-21-2014 02:10 PM

The end result looks great. You have brass balls to tear up the OEM gauges like that.

Great Job! I did the exact same thing. At first I started softly but after 20 mins of trying to get out the factory gauges gently I took a pair of sidecutters to them.

Looks to be that way. OP hows your fuel mileage? haha

I like your style. If the whole dash needs to be removed for this, I would have done the same also. As putting the whole dash back in can cause rattles and issues afterwards.

My car is NA but it has been dyno tuned using uprev so i like to keep an eye on whats going on! It will be boosted in the future though. Boost gauge and boost controller going in the dash cubby. As for tapping into the stock ones im not to sure how that would work. The factory wide band sensors are in the manifolds and i dont want to risk F'ing those up so i just bought an aftermarket one so i can keep an eye on it. im just paranoid pretty much lol

Another guy on here reports disconnecting it doesn't make the oil light come on. Easy to test.
