I could have redrilled the pilot holes, but I didn't want to risk putting more holes in the bottom of the bumper. Plus the end gaps on mine are pretty small and near the bottom. I'm probably going to use a little clear silicone to fill them in later. |

BTW, the more I look at this rear. The more I think to make the CF rear license plate cover. |
It's pretty disapointing that so many people are having fitment issues. Is there anyone here that has actually installed this without a tiny gap?
|
i just ordered mine and am planning on keeping it there for good so i will use the screws...i'll let you guys know how it goes in terms of fitment but it seems from zpirate's post, they are the exact size they need to be, you really just have to use the screws to get it to adhere correctly to the bumper

Today I took my CF Rear Diffuser from Evor-R to my panel shop and was shocked at the fitment issues I'm going to have.
Basically, the amount of force required to fit the piece to the left/right curvature of the car is ridiculous.. I will be bringing it back to the shop to attempt an install next week and I will post the details. Fingers crossed... |
Any updates on the fit of this diffuser? I love the look of it but I'm hesitant to get one because of the fitment issues. Dose anyone have any closeup pics of the gaps?
|
updates?

The fitment is a lot better than I thought but it took a lot for screws to hold. There's still a gap on the left and right edges and underneath the corners but I've disguised it the best I can with chrome stripping. Pics up in a few days. My apologies as my phone camera sux. |
if you use the 4 threaded holes in the back of the diffuser.... itll fit and align perfectly... rather than the screws alone... only problem is doing the layout for drilling the holes is kinda hard... i actually made tabs on my rear bumper so there was play room and i could center it...

I am unsure how flexible the non-cf diffuser is but I can tell you now that my cf is extremely difficult to bend.. |

Did they follow EVOR's detailed instructions on how to install? I'm assuming they removed the bumper from the car as well? |

I wouldn't think you were offending me even if you were... :) Also, no I didn't follow the instructions. The panel shop just did whatever was required to hold it. |
Ne1 try the Fujimura-Auto one yet? If I ever get one, that would be the one to get. Since my car's stock on the outside I'm in no rush to get one though...

The rear diffuser won't work the f.I. exhaust. Your going to need to trim some pieces off

Is this 100% positive??? |

Yes it won't work with the f.I. Exhasut. I shaved a piece of inside to make it fit. The tips are to big

I had to cut about one inch on on both sides because of the exhaust. I like it |
^nice. That's the same setup I'm going for. Are those CF canisters? Looks like the fitment is good? No gaps on the side? You got pics from maybe 10 feet away?
|
yes those are CF. The rear diffuser is CF but my shop candied the CF.

Thanx for the closeup pics! Gaps don't look to bad. Did u use the screws from behind to pull it down like EVOR recommends?
|
Thats SICK! Price is fair too
|
yah, the gap looks kinda :icon14:... but ive seen their fang up close too and it's about the best a made in taiwan would ever get? :eekdance:
|
I could not deal with that gap. It would make me go insane. Why pay to make things worse?
