Looks good.

:tiphat: Thanks, I have seen lots of other cars with it done and thought why not I love CF but didn't want to change to much from the Nismo look. Keeps it clean and doesn't bulge or gap in anyway like some wrapped pieces will. I have also seen it on engine covers so I assume it can take "some" heat…….I already have future plans for other parts on the car.

Dude those hydrographics turned out great! It looks better than the wrap especially with the clear coat. I literally had to stare at the pics for awhile to decipher it ahhaha.

DAMN IT! You stole my idea! I planned on doing it with vvivid vinyls' 4d Carbon wrap. Very realistic Carbon and very easy to work with. Much better look than the dinoc looking stuff. Way to go on a clean looking Nismo.

Talk to Z1motorsports! They have the best prices so far for this conversion!

After shipping, the front bumper would cost $612.42 if I ordered from Z1. That's $232.42 more than what it would cost to just buy it from my local dealer. Z1 is a great place for a lot of stuff, but they charge more than the dealerships on OEM parts.

Thanks! I trying to find the right hydro film/paint sheet to keep it looking as close as possible to my seibon carbon on the wing and hood (hood is still a work in progress long story)

haha I have been stewing on the - CF lip all around - idea since I first saw the new Nismo kit, just not a big fan of the '15+ Nismo front. IMO it makes it look too much like the GTR's little brother so to speak…..but I still loved the old nismo front  I also still love the old Nismo wheels.

however again IMO the hydro graphics are going to look a lot cleaner then vinyl wraps. when you touch mine it is clear coated along with the paint so it is literally seamless you can not feel any difference or transition just smooth!

I know it's probably been answered on this thread but too many pages. I also ordered my rear bumper but will we need anything else for the rear conversion?

LMBmikeZ 11-29-2015 10:04 PM

Rear wheel liners will be best :tiphat:

Just ordered all of my front bumper conversion parts from courtesy parts..Quick question...

I do not want the red insert pieces (I want them black or maybe even color matched in monterey blue). Do I need to order those pieces and paint them black, or can I just not order them?

You need them and will have to paint them.

TN.Z 12-01-2015 06:42 PM

You will need the pieces you can paint them whatever color but without them there will be a blank space that will not look good at all. I suppose you could try to have a shop fill it in but that seems like more trouble than it's worth. If you check out carbon signals build thread for their 15 Nismo lip kit you can see what the bumper looks like without the inserts while they were making their lip kit.

Deez_Z 12-01-2015 08:06 PM

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the inserts. Now just need to get some quotes on how much it's going to cost to get the front bumper painted

DeliriousClam 12-04-2015 12:46 AM

I got to find somewhere to buy the front bumper. Local dealership quoted me $530 which sucks a bit but having it shipped from anywhere costs like $200
