Carbon fiber amuse install help needed

I'm in the process of mounting my Shine Auto Amuse front and it fit right on with no issues. Only mod I had to do was trim a bit to clear my aftermarket oil cooler. I also had to enlarge the hole on the skid plate for oil changes. Both took less than 5 minutes. No other body modifications, trimming or anything else needed. Rear fit the same. Unbolt the old, install the new. As for the rear license plate, I just used a thin license plate mounting bracket and attached directly to the rear. No custom fab work needed. I think if you have a quality kit, you have very little to adjust or mod. The Shine kit also has the marks on the skid plate to drill the bolt holes. Now, my BSD side skirts were another thing. Horribly fit and took a lot of work:

From the looks of your bumper, it fit about the same as mine. The slight wave and gap at the fender edge in your picture tells me that a body shop would probably find a thing or two to tweak. It's one thing to eyeball it, it's another to run a blocker over it after priming...

That being said, I have heard nothing but good things overall about the Shine kit!

Please do not take this as a knock...I absolutely do not intend it that way and its my own personal opinion.

I would not be satisfied with the way your front fits. It is great that you did it yourself and saved a lot of money (props). You are also working with a flexible material. CF is not flexible by any means...especially when dealing with very large body panels. I take my cars to shows and judges have remarked that the fitment looks OEM and like it rolled off a production line. That is something that I can be proud of and makes a 3k bill worth it. Can I attest to it being the kit....possibly. Was it the hard work and finesse of the body shop knowing this is a show car....more than likely. Every kit has flaws. Those flaws can be hidden and tweaked with the skills and experience of people who have been doing the **** forever.

I wish I still had all the pictures of the custom brackets and molding that went into mine. The side skirts were the biggest PITA for the body shop. IOS 7.1 caused me to lose everything and that is one of the reasons I ditched Apple for Samsung.

hence the reason you don't see my skirts in these pictures....

They are on now, but what a pain and mine were just covers!

PS. I should take the car up to Edmonton to get it done in the shop you used. I have no idea which place in Calgary to use. Maybe you shop knows of a place in Calgary they would recommend.

My shop specializes in classic rods and restorations. After this kit, they said they were not going to do another FRP or CF body kit! lol

They lost some money on the deal in regards to the time it took, so I don't think they will be the best at recommending a shop. I would say check with the guys in the Alberta GZ Club down there...

I appreciate your feedback brother and agree with most of it. The bumper was just placed on there with only a few clips on top holding it. I wanted to see what and if any large modification it would take to get it to as close to perfection for a weekend driver. After bolting it down, it actually did tighten up the gaps pretty good. I have to adjust it a bit on the drivers side by the fender. I 100% agree that it's hard to compare different types of materials e.g.; FRP, CF etc. This FRP is very forgiving and can be manipulated quiet a bit. Same goes for different brands. I know you have to really work to get a Duraflex kit to fit well versus a Shine or Aero. And the same goes when you try to compare a Shine & Aero with a Powerhouse. I think it comes down to; do you want to pay more for the kit or more for the fabrication. In the end, I think we all win. Great looking rides Rip & wheee! Dropping off bumper for prep & paint... Woo Hoo
