Default Custom LatheWerks shift knob - check it out!

Just installed my LatheWerks shift knob... I got the Piston style knob but asked Chris to leave off the grooves and to put a flat dome on top. He was able to deliver exactly what I wanted despite me sending him a pretty rough mspaint diagram .

Got the burnt blue/bronze finish and I LOVE the color. Wish my burnt blue exhaust tips looks more like this.

Knob fits PERFECTLY in my hand... In my 350z I had the Forged Performance shift knob which I loved, but always found myself wishing it was a little fatter and came in the burnt finish. This is the knob I always wanted! Mass came in at just a hair under 465g (or just a hair over 1 pound).

Note: WTF is with the stock knob? I broke two strap wrenches trying to get it off before I just took it to the dealer to ask for help (had to go anyway to pick up a part).. The tech was able to take it off but destroyed it in the process (I assumed this would happen after I broke the wrenches). He told me he's never had so much trouble with a knob and never seen so much loctite... I guess I was owed this, the 350z suffers from the same thing but on that car my stock knob came right off easily.

What do you guys think? Pics!

And finally - the stock knob after the dealer finally got it loose.

Wow! That's one of the best looking shift knobs I've seen. Where can I order one?

lathewerks.com - it was a custom job so you'll have to email him. =) It's perfect for me. There isn't a thing I would change about it.

Chris (the proprietor) of LatheWerks is going to let me name this knob for his website... What do you guys think I should call it? I am thinking "JV-Z" which is my initials + Z (self explanatory).

Very nice. Chris does great work. It's great how he will customize for his customers.

I just got a shift knob from him as well. I will post some pictures soon.
