Default Nismo Bumper and Energy Absorber issue

Has anyone that's had their front bumper replaced (either because of an accident or as a conversion) have any issues with the styrofoam energy absorber coming loose? I noticed that there are foam pieces that stick out from the inside of my original bumper but did not have the opportunity to see whether these came with the replacement bumper that was installed on my car. Are these foam pieces what hold the styrofoam energy absorber in place?

nope. there should be 2 black plastic pieces, one per side which help channel air directly to the radiator that connect to the radiator shroud and then go over the foam absorber.

they look like the black pieces in this pic, but the nismo ones go over the foam absorber and keep it in place

found a pic of the nismo version. see the black plastic piece that goes over the foam bar?:

Hmmm... I'll have to double check on this. I may have lost the passenger side panel in order to accomodate the new location of the wiper fluid reservoir because of my CAI.
