wing install?

I called Nissan to install a sport wing and the labor is $280. Is it almost a 3 hr job? Does that sound fair?

Yea, or if you're not sure of yourself or don't have a drill, some random body shop could charge about $100 for the install.

You don't even need a template. All you need is to drill four holes plus tape not all 12 or so.

Update: went to 4 shops.#1 Autocrafters changed names on phillips hwy and the kid was not too confident about all the holes. #2 Prostar said the screws are different and doesn't know what size hole since it is not round(buy hatch w/spoiler. #3 mandarin collision said $200 and he will just bolt the 4 screws, cut off the 8 odd shape snaps and 3m tape it so it will hold but they are too busy now. #4 Honda stealership sub- lets their body work out. Going to try OrangePark on the cheaper side of town. Anybody local know how to work on Nissans?

What part of Florida are you in? I installed my GTC-300 wing thats a much harder job than this and it wasn't a big deal.

I am in Jacksonville about 400 miles north of you. I have been as far as 10 thousand islands down there on the westside,it is very nice.

Ok that's a long drive! Do you have any race/performance shops near you, I know mine does wing installs so the spoiler should be no big deal.

I love the 10 thousand islands, we spent a lot of time down there with the jetskis a few years age. Unfortunately the jetskis had to go when I traded the truck in on the Z.

Thanks for the race shop idea that thinking out of the box. I was just thinking bodyshops. Side note you could get lost in those islands but there were plenty of bonefish to keep you occupied

most important part is to get the template and carefull allign that template.

My experience said that rusk will destroy everything. be calm, park your car in garage and slowly drill any holes, from small to big

People at all body shop just want to finish their job as soon as possible and get away

Update- A friend from church who has been doing bodywork for yrs is going to take a look at it on Sun. He is going to use some roller at work to take of the 3m sticky stuff and says it should be secured good with just using the 4 bolts and tape. He is going to start drilling small holes first. Keeping the faith.

yep line up the wing and use those plastic straps that you push into the screw hole then put the wing where you want it, tape the straps down and pop off the wing. Then you have your template.

Measure 10x drill once.
