Well, you never know when something might happen. Keeping stuff maintained helps prevent something from happening. To me there's no question this should be part of the responsibility of operating a 1-3 ton vehicle on public roads. Too bad a lot of people view driving and owning a car as an inherent right without any responsibility...

Just a side note: I usually join an owners group with every car I buy. I must say that this forum has been the best forum I've ever joined. I mean the volumes of information and the helpful people on here ... There's just no comparison.
