Recently got rear ended and had it repaired through progressive. I think I was being OCD (they certainly thought I was crazy when I picked it up) as well, but I immediately noticed the trunk gap was a little off and it was a little more elevated on the driver side. I was hit more towards the driver side so it makes sense to me but with this post im led to believe this is the way it was from factory? Would love to hear others chime in.
