ive not encountered this. my dd's use rain-x on occasion to remove contaminants baked onto the glass since they sit outside 24/7.

here's how i apply rain-x. clean glass using Griot's WindowCleaner and glass MF towel. spray rain-x into paper towel and apply onto glass without touching the seals. apply until the glass is evenly hazy.

then spray distilled water onto the glass, remove haze with glass mf towel.
