No rubber smell from mine.
|
I ordered one today from weathertech. I procrastinated so now I can't wait.
|
No rubber smell from them at all.

I'm sure you will like them.:driving: |
I got them for my Subaru and was amazed at the amount of cr*p they caught. Now I wonder if I should have them in my Z.

Got mine from the misses, they fit like a dream in an 09 Z, no major smell I could tell.
Feet feel more planted and I can already tell these are going to be great at keep dirt in that area so I can easily clean. Funny story, went over to my parents for Christmas in the evening and my parents got me floor mats for my Z. :rofl2: |

Got mine in last Tuesday and really, really like the "tub". Very, very slight slip on certain shoes especially my leather work shoes. No slip otherwise. Not sure why I needed one out here in SoCal but man it looks nice. I like stepping into my car and look at the Weathertech grooves. Should be easy to clean from now on because all the dirt is "collected" and not all over the pile. I also like the simple emblem mods some of you had shared. No smell btw.

Got them in for my 14' and they look/fit great. There are two very small gripes that I do have however. On the driver's side I do wish they completely covered the dead pedal and on the passengers side I wish they went higher up the floor boards. The issue on the passengers side is if you have a shorty passenger and they put their legs all the way out their feet will be off the liners.:ughdance:
My gripes are very first world problems-ish and in reality it's a great product. |
Just got my mats today from Joe@Zspeed. Took a drive in them and no movement, lots of grip, no rubbery smell. I love them! First time owner of these mats, and I am impressed!
Thanks again to Joe@zspeed for the great deal on these! |
Just got my weathertech's today. On the install instructions it says to that you must take out the stock floor mats for proper fit and not to stack them on top. Did you guys take out your stock mats or just put them on top...does it really make any difference on fit?
Thanks, Rob |

Haven't had any issues with mine, no rubber smell, fits great, just don't like putting my feet on carpeted floor mats when I drive.

Hmm...might have to look into this!

Bought a set for my Z and my land rover. Good fit on the Z but passenger side or the Rover fit is horrible. Driver side of the Rover seems to slide around a little. Have to keep moving it back into place. No odor though!
|
Bumping an old thread, but anyone have any long-term reviews with the weathertech floorliners (3+ years?). I'm reading some complaints about the edges warping/curling, but would love to know any z member's experience with these!

I have had my WeatherTech floor mats for over a year now, and my hatch mat for about a month or two, and I still love them. They’re almost perfect, but they have two flaws. First, the drivers side floor mat has a gap between the mat and the gas pedal, which allows dirt to fall down and pile up over time (I assume this is a safety regulation restricting the mat from being able to touch the gas pedal). Second, the passenger floor mat doesn’t extend high enough up the area where their feet would be placed while sitting down. As a result, when a passenger sits down, the dirt from the bottom half of their shoe falls onto the mat, but the dirt from the top half falls behind it. The only downside of the hatch mat is that it is shipped folded up, so it takes a while for it to lay flat. If you’re confused what I mean, look at the OEM floor mats and notice how the passenger side mat goes all the way up the incline where the firewall begins. I like to keep my car in pristine condition, and these help with that a ton. I would definitely buy them again. Overall condition and quality of them is 5/5, and usability is 4/5 for the drivers gap and passenger issue. I will be making a review on my YouTube channel of them soon. http://https://ibb.co/yPJLvq8

Is this picture of the OEM mats? Curious if you ended up getting a custom NISMO branding on the WeatherTech somehow
#firstposthere :) |
#firstposthere kind of sucked.
Whom are you replying to? I am going to assume that you are replying to Horizon. If so, those are the weather tech mats and the badge was added by him after removing the weathertech badge. https://www.etsy.com/shop/DesignerDealerDecals http://www.2040-parts.com/2pcs-floor...nismo-i345837/ |
