I tried to find the DIY for adjusting the engagement point, but searching from a phone sucks. The spring is just to make the pedal softer and more numb for the people who probably shouldn't have bought the manual in the first place.

I've driven stick for 10yrs. Both of my Sentra's had a very responsive clutch, along with both of my mustangs and my ranger. The Z is the first car that I have come across that had a mute friction point. It was all based off of sound not feel. So I humbly think that your statement is a little off from fact.
