Nismo 370z body panels

Ok, there have been a few threads on here about nismo 370z parts and availability. Well this thread is going to be dedicated to the process of getting these parts. I have a really good relationship with several parties at my local dealer (where I bought my car) a lot of the employees are enthusiasts and want to see this happen. I am working with the parts manager right now to get pricing for the parts. Like I said I have a really good relationship with them and we hope to have pricing by tomorrow *fingers crossed*... let's keep on topic to the actual low down on getting these parts. I will post tomorrow with updates and work arounds ;) we will get pricing I promise you that!

Mike :)

Updates:

Z1's Nismo Conversion Kit

In addition to the front bumper itself, you need:

1) Part 62026M. This is the front diffuser.

2) Parts 62066 RH / 62066+A (LH) / 62066+B (RH)/ 62066+C (LH).
These are your right and left fender liners or "protectors."

3) A few extra standard rivets or screws that your dealer (or Z1 maybe?) will have readily available

4) And... paint! :-)

Optionally, you can buy the Nismo engine undertray for lotsa money but it is not necessary.

theDreamer 07-31-2009 08:58 AM

bullitt5897 07-31-2009 03:57 PM

I can check on the wheels too... no word yet from Paul the parts manager. I did leave him a voicemail and I will probably call back after work ;)

Well I will have to wait until they are open again on monday. I did however talk to the dealership not far from here. He said it is a complete fallacy that you have to have a Nismo vin# to get Nismo parts. The sideskirts are almost 500 a piece. The front and rear bumper are just under 400 a piece and the front lip was like 350 I believe. I will call him again monday though and get the official price and numbers from the dealer here, see how they marry up to what bullitt gets.

If that is all for the bumper (factory painted?), then I am changing out my rear bumper.

Nismo 370z body panels

Gang,

After seeing the 370 Nismo for the 1st time this past week, I really like the looks of it. I like both the front and rear bumper much better than the standard 370. Side skirts I can do without as I don't believe a person will notice them as different if the Nismo isn't sitting next to you. So am I interested????????? YES................. Put me on the list of wanting to know.

Thanks for your effort in finding out,
:tiphat:

dainedazz 08-02-2009 12:40 AM

can you guys find out if the parts come factory painted? thanks. i'm about to go to my dealership and ask about this.

Solus 08-02-2009 06:13 AM

My dealer told me I was on crack when I asked if they come painted from the factory

theDreamer 08-02-2009 09:24 AM

I think modshack got a new front bumper (just a stock one) and it came unpainted, so for 300-500 dollars I would bet these are not factory painted.

RCZ 08-02-2009 02:14 PM

Either way, I am in for this one :)

Shunya 08-02-2009 02:15 PM

i'm actually abit interested in the interior things nissan has to offer. like simple floor mats and such

hmmm i see.

i dont know much about paint jobs or body shop work but if the parts come unpainted, can ANY bodyshop color match it to the same EXACT color as the body?

RCZ 08-02-2009 06:01 PM

some shops are better than others...its worth paying a bit more to get a good job done for this type of thing. They should by able to match it...

The front bumper on the 350z was around $400 like you said, but the underskirt was another $400 (that black plastic piece) which is insane for just that piece..

Nope. You have to get it painted.

Which might be best because then we know we can pick a painter and have them get as close as possible with a paint match.

With the way that Nissan's paint sucks, I am glad that we need to have it painted ourselves.

For those of us with non metallic colors a decent job shouldn't cost much as there is no blending involved. Solid Red For The Win.

woooooot! woooot! :happydance:

is the front lip included in the front bumper or do you buy it separate?

Caravanshaka 08-03-2009 08:58 PM

hot damn, I pass by courtesy on my way to the office every day :)

Might have to check into that kit now instead of the Bomex, their bumper is cheaper then the Bomex lip.

theDreamer 08-03-2009 09:01 PM

Do they have a walk in shop Caravanhaka or is purely online orders?
If they have a walk in shop, I might take a day trip up there or something to check it out.

Caravanshaka 08-03-2009 09:04 PM

They have a walk-in, but it looks just like any other dealership parts department with a little bit extra in that it has a few performance/aftermarket stuff hanging on the walls for various Nissans. It isn't exciting, not worth a day-trip. But, if you wanted a bumper, you could save shipping costs and come pick it up
