He said it is a complete fallacy that you have to have a Nismo vin# to get Nismo parts. The sideskirts are almost 500 a piece. The front and rear bumper are just under 400 a piece and the front lip was like 350 I believe. I will call him again monday though and get the official price and numbers from the dealer here, see how they marry up to what bullitt gets.

If that is all for the bumper (factory painted?), then I am changing out my rear bumper.

Nismo 370z body panels

Gang,

After seeing the 370 Nismo for the 1st time this past week, I really like the looks of it. I like both the front and rear bumper much better than the standard 370. Side skirts I can do without as I don't believe a person will notice them as different if the Nismo isn't sitting next to you. So am I interested????????? YES................. Put me on the list of wanting to know.

Thanks for your effort in finding out,
:tiphat:

can you guys find out if the parts come factory painted? thanks. i'm about to go to my dealership and ask about this.

Solus 08-02-2009 06:13 AM

My dealer told me I was on crack when I asked if they come painted from the factory

theDreamer 08-02-2009 09:24 AM

I think modshack got a new front bumper (just a stock one) and it came unpainted, so for 300-500 dollars I would bet these are not factory painted.

RCZ 08-02-2009 02:14 PM

Either way, I am in for this one :)

Shunya 08-02-2009 02:15 PM

hmmm i see.

i dont know much about paint jobs or body shop work but if the parts come unpainted, can ANY bodyshop color match it to the same EXACT color as the body?

RCZ 08-02-2009 06:01 PM

some shops are better than others...its worth paying a bit more to get a good job done for this type of thing. They should by able to match it...

The front bumper on the 350z was around $400 like you said, but the underskirt was another $400 (that black plastic piece) which is insane for just that piece..

Nope. You have to get it painted.

shabarivas 08-03-2009 11:53 AM

Which might be best because then we know we can pick a painter and have them get as close as possible with a paint match.

With the way that Nissan's paint sucks, I am glad that we need to have it painted ourselves.
