Hey my z is on the way !! However from the pictures it looks like im gonna have to take the front liscense plate off (not required in NC).So I

Hey my z is on the way !! However from the pictures it looks like im gonna have to take the front liscense plate off (not required in NC).So I wanna order bumper plugs but i need the code for this color? Not sure of the exact color name either?9374306-4-3-71476222-1.jpg

I think in most cases the bracket is only screwed through the dimpled non-painted black part of the bumper. are you sure yours has been screwed through the painted part as well?

...and to add my unsolicited 2¢, I put small black plugs through the holes on my bumper which I thought were slightly less attractive than the holes that were already there. Popped 'em off a couple of months later and like it much better.

the plate bracket mounts to the black portion of the bumper, unless they drill out the painted part just above the like we've seen early on.

There are cases where it is, but I can't tell from the pics. That bracket should be attached by two screws into the black plastic which are hidden by the CarMax paper plate. The screws visible in the pictures are just to hold the plate to the bracket. The placement of the bracket is the same either way, so there's no telling until you remove the temporary plate.
