I wouldnt go through all that to get the OEM fog light to work. There are several ways to get the OEM fog to work almost like stock without spending 300+ to do it. Check the link in my sig at the top of that post shows another way to do the OEM fog.

I'm actually interested in this because the end of my stalk is scratched to hell. One with rear fog control might be nice if I'm looking at replacing it anyway. Cbtech, what are you saying costs $300?

I wouldn't go through the trouble either, but the stalk is $115-150

It's probably a very similar finish But I think if I bother to ever fix it, I'll do it right. It doesn't bother me very much - only occasionally when I notice it while detailing the interior.

If i remember correctly the Fog light stalk is Right hand Drive so its not going to be a plug and play type deal. You will most likely have to replace several components to make it work which will run you in that cost.

I guess I will probably just get the regular replacement in that case

It IS plug and play, even if you get the RHD version.
It's an easy install too

Default Source for JDM Stalk

Here is a link to the nissanautosports.com listing for the JDM stalk for 135 bucks. Still wondering how hard to install.
