Default Wrapped gauges and instrument cluster

whats up everyone, I just got done with my week long project of wrapping my gauge bezels and instrument cluster cover. I did it with a Carbon fiber and orange Kevlar combo. This was NOT vinyl hence why it took me a week and lots of hard work. I think it came out great and i love the color combo, it compliments all the orange lighting and gauges. so here are some pics.

Wow you did that yourself? That's impressive. Did you use a cf wrapping kit?

Yha the material was too thick for the under piece so I had to cut it with a dremel hence the roughness. But it still looks great. That stuff is a pain to work with but I'm sure a few more time doing that I will be a master at it.

Yes I did, and a resperator too. The resin was a special kind for the colored Kevlar too but it is all pretty much the same stuff. But I just bought the materials and went from there, no kit or anything because they were all black CF and no colors

I used CF Element with our other Z and granted the quality is top notch it is pretty expensive. I have new bills and have to cut back on the car spending so im trying to do a little more myself.

Overlays are cheaper but look like overlays...not my cup of tea.

Thats where i got m stuff from. They were awesome in getting my order sent out quickly. The only other things i needed to buy was a mixing tub $00.67, nylon paint brushes $15, nylon gloves $1.20 for 10, paint fume resperator $15 at home depot. I also used my wifes hair dryer to get the bubbles out. (DONT USE WITH STICKY GLOVES ON OR YOU WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER, JUST BUY A SHITTY ONE FOR HOBBY USE ONLY)

can you sand the edges with 1500 or even 2000grit, and add a dab of clearcoat along the edge? should cure this roughness look.

not that it looks bad or anything as it is. GJ.
