on a side note why does it look weird to me when its painted?

FRP suits me fine. I would paint it to match the car anyways.

i might sound stupid but ...ive always wanted to know what happens when it rains and it goes through the hood isnt it gonna mess up the engine or the wiring or any other parts?

They have rain channels on the jdm hoods..... The american cf hoods like seibon and vis im not to sure
