IMNSHO, the start pushbutton is not the best place to get power. IIRC, all three power sources you are looking for are present in the Fuse Block (J/B) in the driver footwell. Details are in the same PG section of the FSM you got the pinout from.

Are you saying I can tie into the fuse block to enable timer functionality?

I was under the impression I needed to install the tie-in behind the ignition switch to enable the HKS timer to shut the car off at the defined interval.

Thanks

If you only need the power you listed in the OP (battery, ignition, and ACC), there shouldn't be any need to mess with the switch.

Can you post a link to a wiring diagram for the HKS unit?

I should of been more clear, the switch wires need to be used to enable the timer functionality.

I need the wire colors to the switch:

12V Constant
12V Ignition
12V ACC

Here is a link to the setup: http://wctsmultiservizi.com/wp-conte...am_preview.jpg

Thanks

Looking at the wiring diagrams on SEC-126 through SEC-128 and connectors pinout that follow.

SEC-126 shows pin 4 of connector M50 is for the start switch contact and pins 5-7 are for the ON/ACC/LOCK lights. As far as I can tell pins 2 and 3 are not connected. Pins 1 is ground. Pin 8 is battery power from fuse #9 (10A) in the Fuse Block (J/B).

If you just need a signal, you should be able to use pin 6 for ACC and pin 7 for ON (see pinout on page SEC-132 for colors), but they weren't designed to power anything. If you need ACC/ON power, I still think you should get it from the Fuse Block (J/B).

Are you sure the HKS unit will work with pushbutton ignition? The description for the harnesses for that unit says they won't work with pb ignition - maybe that's just the harnesses.

Thanks, ya, there is no harness built for the 370Z, it needs to be wired by hand.

Thanks.!
