removed headlights for painting and turn signals dont work now

I've checked the bulbs, and they are fine, every other light works except the turn signal bulbs. I get a fast flash on the inside, and none of the emergency flashers work front or rear, but the inside lights do flash normal when the emergency is on (according to service manual, it doesn't have a fast flash mode).

I'm not extremely concerned about the turn signals and flashers not working, but I also have this annoying alarm every time I close the door now. I guess its alerting me to the problem?

any ideas? All the wires seem to be intact, one small wire did break to the orange position light, but I fixed it.

Also, can anyone tell me which fuse is for the turn signals? I pulled every fuse, but I don't have the interior map any more of what fuses go where.

new headlight harness is pretty cheap, so I think I'm just going to replace them and see what happens.

took the screw out of the door switch and solved the noise problem.

on the bright side, they look good!

Did you check the fuses at the IPDM?

Mike 02-20-2013 04:56 PM

IPDM? Is that the fusebox by the battery? If so, yes, but I saw nothing labelled as turnsignal.

I'll FB you a pic of the interior fuse box label
And usually it isn't a fuse, it's a really that controls everything else

DEpointfive0 02-20-2013 05:17 PM

Oh, and if NONE work, I have no idea what's really wrong

I disconnected all nights last night because I am gonna do a swap and I plugged only the left side blinker bulb in...
So THAT works, I get hyper flash on the right side dye to the bulb being disconnected, and neither of my headlights work (all ok because they are disconnected)

Again, usually ALL the lights are connected with a relay, if they goes out everything craps out

I'm digging into the service manual. Appears the BCM controls the flasher speed... I'll let you know if I find anything.

Lol, or not BCM... Where the hell is that?!?!?!
I sent him the diagram, but it doesn't say #52 anywhere

GaleForce 02-20-2013 07:02 PM

Mike, do you have the service manual?

Look in EXL page 51

If you don't have it I can send it to you of make screen shots.

GaleForce 02-20-2013 07:03 PM

The IPDM E/R is the box Mike was looking at near the battery.
