The fingerprint is straight up in the clearcoat... as in you run your nail on it and it has the same texture as like bird crap stuck to your car. Basically you can pick at it and it won't come off.

Sounds like the oils etched into the clear coat. You probably could smooth it out with some polishing.

Keep an eye on the Mid-Atlantic forum. I'm going to try to organize a get together in the next week or so.
