Black cherry isn't black. You'd still have a contrast if you made the fangs (and, say, the exhaust cutout) black.
To me, the silver won't work because there will be no other silver accents to balance it. You'd have to get it to match the door handles to work. In the immortal words of Mick Jagger, paint it black.
