Anyone Painted their Dash/Instrument

I am interested in painting the silver color surround around the speedo and temp/fuel gauge black, along with the center gauges' rings and the ring around the shifter. In my brain they should all be black.

I've seen this done on another z while I was going through the Carmax listings. I agree that the black looks way better than the cheap silver look.

I'll throw this out there, just in case you don't know about them already. Simota has access to the fuel gauge overlays, a vinyl piece that fits over the silver. I wouldn't try painting that as I expect the "see thru" parts of the piece are flush. You'd have to do one hell of a masking job.
