Guess I forgot to post a picture in your thread of the finished product

Yes, your pillar, and the last one is the original used for the mould.

Well done!
In addition, you are wise to factor in all the costs to make this item
available for sale.A lot of work goes into making your gauge pods.
There is a limit on what a Z owner will pay for this item.Mass production
through a mold would be the only way to make it profitable. Then you would have
to do a sizeable production run.
I like the finished product. How it blends with the interior.
Looks OEM.
There may be a greater market if the entire assembly was done in carbon fiber.
However,the cost would be great.
Good luck.

Nice gauges jwick :) Thinking of using the same A/F one myself...

The innovate is nice. Takes a couple of shots to calibrate it but it appears to be consistent although it reads a couple tenths above UpRev readings.

Amazon had the best price and it was a Prime item.

Messing around in the garage chasing oil leaks. Figured I shoot you a full size shot. I think it looks great.

What do you think of the colour match? Close enough? Really tough for me to know without the car here. Looks good in your photo

jwick 05-30-2014 05:21 PM

It's really close. The fact that there is a texture change really covers up any difference there might be

jwick 05-30-2014 05:22 PM

I can bust out my good camera and email you non-cell phone pics if you want

Here's a picture of a sweet set up from a forum member. He's running the Premium Single pod a-pillar.

Thanks for sharing Brian!

This could also be a good place to put the START button for all the lefties out there....

GaleForce 06-15-2014 08:23 AM

Nope. Lefties are the devil and must conform to the right way of life. :bowrofl: I'm kidding, my wife is a lefty...

Back on topic, here is another pillar loaded up for a customer and ready for install,

You can bastardize the existing gauges, or remove the dash. It took me approximately 2 hours to remove the dash.

Hey GF.. The gauge pod looks amazing. Its being installed right now. Can't wait to see it in the car.

nomodsjk 06-21-2014 12:21 AM

I would definitely buy one. No matter what it costs. That's amazing

nomodsjk 06-21-2014 12:22 AM

Your work came highly recommended from the guys at r/t tuning. I was there on Tuesday getting some work done and they told me about some of your work

Thank you :tiphat:

The guys at RT/Tuning are top notch. They run that business more efficiently and professionally than most big name dealership service centres.

Limeybastard 06-21-2014 08:40 AM

Looking good and really well crafted.

Would you happen to know how much a stock A pillar is from Nissan?

winnre 06-21-2014 08:21 PM

I want this so bad but I have nothing to put into the pods!
