Hi,

I'm VERY interested in the dual gauge pillar.. I do have a few questions...

Could you do a RHD Option..?

Is the colour and texture matched to the existing and surrounding trim..?

Is it compatible with my 2013 370Z that has the airbags in the A-Pillar..?

Are you able to give me a price of what you'd charge for something like that..?

Thanks for your time..

Thanks for the pm but $350 for a single pod to me is WAY over priced. I'll go another route for that price...

m3chhawk 06-16-2013 01:36 PM

Given the time, materials, build quality, it's definitely not over priced. There's almost $100 in Nissan parts alone. This isn't an ABS molded pillar......

I can do a RHD option. It will take a little longer than normal because everything would need to be built from scratch.

The colour is very close to stock. I personally don't notice a difference from one side to the other and I haven't had a complaint about the colour match yet. If you are really concerned I can dye both pillars. I'm very picky when it comes to stuff like this for my car, the colour matches perfectly (for my picky eyes) and I didn't bother dyeing the other pillar.

The pillar is fabricated using factory Nissan parts as a base allowing for the new Pillar to be installed exactly the same way as the original one. It does not impede the function of the airbags.

PM sent.

You can get some universal gauge cups and glue/screw/mould them to the existing pillar. Cheaper, yes.

Thanks Austin! I tried my best to fabricate a quality piece that doesn't stand out but blends nicely with the 370z interior.

overpriced? are you kidding me? thats artwork plain and simple. i'll be contacting you Mr Force.

AWIZRD 07-28-2013 12:09 PM

These are awesome hand-made custom pieces justifying the cost IMHO. Now the big question, do I get a single or double..>Decisions, decisions! I know I want oil pressure....BUT...that TT is itching to jump into my car someday.....

Can you pm me a price for both single and double to AZ?

Thanks

mr.gale those a-pillar pods you make look amazing! great work.

Nixlimited 07-31-2013 12:04 PM

Wow, very high quality. I know you answered this already, but just because I haven't seen behind the pillar, can you explain in a little more detail why this would not interfere with the a-pillar airbag?

I can kinda help with that. The airbag runs along the top of the window, and barely, if not at all, protrudes into the A pillar area. The a pillar moves out slightly when the airbag is deployed.

If you want, just pull away on the a pillar to remove. Its clipped in place with a few clips. It might also be easier to "roll" the pillar away from the body, it'll unclip itself.

Excellent. This pillar could solve my "where do I put a wideband gauge" issue.

Alstann has it right. The factory A-pillar is tethered to the metal behind allowing it to pop out one inch when the airbag in the headliner is activated. The custom A-Pillar functions exactly the same way because it is a factory pillar with a pod moulded to it and uses the same mounting hardware.

That's what I use mine for. Others are using it for a boost gauge.

I already have a boost gauge in the factory spots. I actually like the idea of putting a AFR gauge separate anyways because they don't match my Defis. Can you PM me price for single-pod on left hand side?

On a related note, what's the best looking AFR gauge these days? I had an Innovative in my old STi, but always thought it was a little dated looking.

I have the Innovate MTX gauge. It is dated looking but, I was told it's the best A/F gauge on the market so I'm putting up with the look. A few guys are using the digital Innovate A/F gauge. I can't comment on the function of it but cosmetically it is nice.
