Yeah, but sometimes I just want the already cold air in the car to recirculate without putting more stress on the engine lets say during a "mountain run"

Yeah, that light was an afterthought, at night I can usually get away with putting my finger in front of the light and seeing that it's on... During the day, that trick doesn't work so well...
