You can leave your plate on the dash board when you park. I bought the stillen kit and have yet to install in two years later. It has never been an issue. I wish the same for you.

I mounted mine with a L shaped bracket to the underside of the front bumper. The license plate is the lowest point at the front of my car.

Trophy Nissan (where I got my last 3 Z's) does not put a front plate on either the Z or GTR. Classic Chevy (where I got my Vette) never put a front plate on.

I have never run a front plate on any of my cars (even non-Z's) and never gotten a ticket. I've gotten pulled over more than a few times for no front plate, but after I tell them that the dealer never put the front plate on (it's the truth), they let me go.

It's not worth it to ruin the entire look of your car.

I've still heard of people getting pulled over for the front plate on their dash. Worth a try if you not willing to get the stillen kit.
