DarkJak 09-05-2012 11:55 AM

Weight comparison and cost could sell me on these.

I'm going to *guess* price and quality are lower on the EVO ones.

jcosta79 09-05-2012 02:11 PM

The factory Z mirrors are the one of the best features of the car! Maybe not for aesthetics, but you can see EVERYTHING with them! I honestly still can't figure out how they fit so much viewing area into such a small and sporty looking mirror.

I don't even need to use my rear view (unless I just want to look at the wing).

robones 09-05-2012 02:15 PM

You live and you die with the stock side mirrors on the 370z. I mean the visibility is just horrible as is already. I dont understand how obtaining smaller diameter mirrors would aid you? Also, when on a date, make sure you remember to "manually" adjust your mirrors PRIOR to have your chick in the car. The most embarrasing thing would be to ask your chick: "hey babe, can you lower the window and turn the mirror a little to the left?" :roflpuke2:

The link i posted uses convex mirrors so you actually see more than the factory ones.

and really you think thats the most embarrassing? its a really nice car with race style mirrors. if she thinks its ghetto to move it for you find a new lady.

robones 09-05-2012 04:30 PM

LOL! But are are driving a 30-40k sports cars; and in your case over 40k so do you think its ok to have manual adjusting mirrors in your car?

ERZperformance 09-05-2012 04:33 PM

Nice!

I wouldnt be embarrassed by them no.

hell the POS stereo is embarrassing!

robones 09-05-2012 05:42 PM

LMAO! I agree with your stereo comment! haha

Srenity 09-05-2012 08:27 PM

I got my Z about 6-7 months ago, adjusted the mirrors the first day and have not touched them again. I do not think going to manual mirror adjustment is that big a deal. Also if these have convex mirror's then they will actually hava a much larger view shed than factory. If on the other hand they are flat mirrors then this will greatly limit visibility.

AWESOME!!!!!

Details? Options? Anticipated price???

For the love of god, please offer these at a more reasonable price point than craftsquare and you will be flooded with orders.

Many of us HATE the "dumbo ears" on this car.

asdfsammich 09-05-2012 11:42 PM

^^^ Agree

These are great, and with a good price, they'll fly.

370ZNISMO#704 09-05-2012 11:56 PM

DarkJak 09-07-2012 09:14 AM

Any chance of you painting the base black, body color, or wrapping it in CF for production?

Liquid_G 09-07-2012 10:33 AM

wow... craftsquare replicas... awesome..

KB2 09-07-2012 10:41 AM

Yes...I'm a fan. however that silver base needs to be black for sure

EVOR 09-07-2012 11:20 AM

Just want to be clear on this. These are not replica of any. We started from wood made proto type and made it from scratch.

Even the bolt you have on the top of the mirror looks exactly the same.

GaleForce 09-07-2012 02:13 PM

Look at the difference of the pods where they mount to the vehicle. Very different. The mirrors themselves, yeah... They are similar.

TypeOne 09-07-2012 03:07 PM

They don't look bad... but I'd hate to hear how long it would take to get them.

:wtf2:

Reminds me of the Autotechnic ones for the 350z aka Craftsquare replicas.
The base is different then the craftsquare mirrors but the carbon mirror holder and mirror look the same...

fuct 09-07-2012 05:50 PM

other than the base, yea they are copies....

Mike 09-07-2012 05:54 PM

but their base does look so much better

agreed! EVO's look like aluminum cast pieces. :\

Ni55anPat 09-07-2012 06:17 PM

Smh

Tazicon 09-07-2012 06:23 PM

I can't see where you would save hardly any weight. Probably loose more weight in your car if you just went on a diet or fast for a few days. That would be more practical and a cheaper mod.

asdfsammich 09-07-2012 07:39 PM

Lots of folks probably like them due to smaller footprint vs weight savings, just saying.

Tapatalk & such etc

VDC_OFF 09-07-2012 07:51 PM

I want this mod because I hate having to look around the bulky stock mirrors. They tend to show a low a lot of vertical space which is not necessary. I have them set as far out as possible to my blind spot and still almost hit a car when switching two lanes because he was really hidden in my blind spot from two lanes away. So this short height, wide-angle, cool looking mirror would be a win win win for me.
