Just go the sample, plus ordered 50 sq. ft. of the 80 mil GTMAT Ultra Sound deadener. It should be here Saturday. I plan on installing it sunday. For everyone interested in this product, I will take before and after go pro videos in the cabin, as well as use a decibel meter before and after.

I was just getting ready to order sound deadener for my audio install so I'm glad i saw this before I placed an order with a competitor.

The price is extremely reasonable, but before I call you guys tomorrow may I ask if GTMat is butyl or asphalt based?

Hello Nillaz! GTMat is a discount product and does use a percentage of asphalt in the adhesive mixture, however the composition has been engineered to provide little or no odor.

I'm all about supporting our sponsors, I would love to reduce the road noice on my Z, but I'm not exactly sure how much of the material I would need nor where to place it to reduce the noise. If you guys can give me some pointers I'm in.

Chrisbeltre, while we have not had anyone with a Z actually have their entire car done YET, I'd say a good guess would be in the range of 60-75 sq ft. As far as placement, we have read on here that the hatch and doors would help substantially. We have one person so far who has bought enough for the entire car and should be posting his results early next week. ive been using Second Skin for years and love it. how does your product stand up to theirs? I take it the same as you said for the other high end brands?

Our videos show our heat tolerance, a simple test of the mat itself and states what is used in our composition. Just ordered 25 sqft Roll GTMAT Ultra 80 Mil Thick. With the 10 sqft sample, hopefully I have enough to cover the trunk and the doors.
