Nice set up! Just ring when ready. That goes for all of you.

I have to remind you though, we would appreciate reviews copied to our Amazon listings. Unfortunately Amazon listings perform better with this info as well as let customers know that we are tested by real people. Any help is appreciated!

Go for it! Not sure why the quality got compromised after upload, but hopefully it is still useful.

Thanks! :tiphat: I'm pretty sure potential customers will appreciate it.

scionide 09-01-2012 09:24 PM

Finally got around to installing the 10sq ft. I still had rattles and I saw this so I figured I'd give it a try. As you can see I had a layer of dynamat before *tried the 30% coverage technique but found I still had rattles*

Forgot to snap a pic before I reassembled everything

http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg812...pg&res=landing

My rattles are barely audible now, using the stock screw down on the spare tire may or may not have made a difference...the free roller that was included was nice but I eventually broke the wheel off...guess I pressed too hard.

The sound deadening material itself is a bit lighter than my dynamat but since its a discount alternative, I'd say its definitely great value, comparable quality as well.

GTMat 09-04-2012 10:37 AM

Glad to help Scionide! If you need any more to complete the project, please let me know and I'll get you a discount price. Remember, our free sample consists of the 50mil version. We do have an 80mil available if you are interested.

For anyone interested in the free sample, give me a call!

GTMat 09-04-2012 04:50 PM

simota1, please PM me your address and I'll work up the lowest quote possible. :)

SoFloZ 09-05-2012 11:07 PM

I order and called for mine and I never received it from 2weeks ago

DCNISMO 09-06-2012 09:42 AM

I suggest also removing your interior inner kick panels in front of the doors and putting the sound deading be it dynamatt or Gmatt, on them. They come off really easy and place the material on the insides of them. It reduces the noise coming in from the front wheels, as behind the panels its just bare metal. quite a bit. Note there is a single 12 mm nut that has to come off to take these panels off, then its just clips. I would not buy extra material to do this, but if you have some left over...do it as its pretty simple and quick. Every dB counts!

simota1 09-17-2012 03:39 PM

logo would be kool you guys have a nice logo anyways.... gtmat i havent installed mine yet because i caught the flu and feel like crap... ill try to install it this coming weekend if im better

edub370 09-17-2012 04:35 PM

installed mine on sat. took me about an hour and a half. biggest hassle was getting those damn foam inserts that hold the jack and tools in and out without removing the interior plastic pieces. anywyas, no huge difference in sound lecvel with my cnt cat back, hoever i had a body panel or something bussing at around 3700 rpm's that no longer buzzes. also, i have noticed by car has an overall more "solid" sound to it. meaning, it doesnt seem to sound as cavernous on the inside now. threw a little bhind the rear fender, so we will see if the notorious pinging sound cause by rocks hitting the fender quiets down a little.

http://www.the370z.com/members/edub3...-22-54-614.jpg

wish i would have ahd a little more so i could completely cover the entire trunk area. but its a very easy product to work with and i would recommend it other car guys. great product gt mat!

p.s. sweet logo! my tool box now has a new decoration lol

I would do this except my sub is under that rear mat so deadening the sound would be...not a great idea.

Well if you have any rattles or vibrations in other parts of the car, you can definitely use the sample size to reduce that. Let me know if interested!

simota1 09-21-2012 06:27 PM

ill be installing my mat tomoro finally... im not sick no more  ill be sure to take pics of my car... if you send me a gtmatt sticker i can take a picture of it on my z and you can use it for promoting ur products and stuff

simota1 09-24-2012 06:38 AM

overall i was EXTREMELY happy with the install  i love how easy the product is to install, not to mention the rolling tool is an awesome plus... i give gtmat a 10 outa 10... its impact on my z was remarkable, i no longer have rattles when my sub is playing in high volumes. The mat worked out so well i actually turned up the gain on my sub :happydance:

Actually it would. The gtmat deadens noise from the road, keeping the inside sound in and the outside sound out. You will notice that your sub will sound clearer and better because it's not being conflicted by road noise. Also, if you were to do your whole trunk, you would be able to play your sub louder and not be able to hear it outside the car as much, which is a major bonus for not attracting those red and blue lights. I would say go for it, it can only help you and the sample is free. Win/win.

I have some questions for those who have used GTMat on their doors. I'm thinking about adding it to my car to cut down on the vibration from my exhaust in the mornings and the vibration from having the stereo turned up. Will I feel the weight in the door? Will my exhaust note be too muted? I do work for the company but have been hesitant to pull the trigger since I love to hear my exhaust.

I wouldn't expect to have significant muting of the exhaust note if you do a door install. Trunk would have more impact. Since you work for them, maybe you have access to a piece that is about the total amount you'll need for one door. If so, drape that over the door and see for yourself if it is noticeably heavier.

I haven't yet done my install because I still have some things in my mind. First thought was should I do door or trunk - I leaning toward trunk because I think it will have more impact on overall road noise and even though I have the same exhaust concerns (w/o the exhaust yet tho :icon17:) I drive with windows down 90% of the time which makes the exhaust point moot. Second, I started thinking about giving you back the sample and getting the 80 mm for the entire car. I'm just not sure how much is needed. You can text or PM me a quote if you want ;)
