I know I'm bringing this thread back from the dead but I thought this might help some of the people having this problem.
I was having the same problem as Simota. A few months ago my cruise control light started flashing rapidly (usually after I made a turn). I would turn the car off/on and it would go away for a while. Then it started happening more and more frequently. First it was once a month, then a couple times a month, then a couple times a week, then everyday. Long story short, I showed it to the dealer and they replaced my ECM under the 8 year/80,000 mile electrical component warranty. All I had to pay was for 1 hour of diagnostic time. Since I am past my 3 year/30,000 mile warranty and have no extended warranty I figured it would not be covered. I've never been so happy to be wrong.
