Hey what's up guys. So after well over 100 hrs of my time and a bit of cash I get my cat to the point I thought it was done..... Only to hear from all my friends " what about the silver handles" >.< the 1 st thing that popped to mind was to match them to my wheels. But I ran out of that paint and it's crazy expensive to buy just for handles. ( was 380$ for .25 liter. So what you guys think about the evor r cf covers ? Any one have or seen them in person. Your thought are appreciated . Thanks

2ndChance 04-03-2012 02:03 AM

Plastidip it and if you like the scheme get the cf covers.

gurneyeagle 04-03-2012 06:52 AM

The covers look great. I've seen them in person and they fit like a glove. I'd get the cf B pillar covers too.

I've got a set of B pillar covers to match my cf duck tail spoiler. I had my handles painted body color.

Good luck!

Ages 04-03-2012 09:19 AM

Cool I was worried that they would look autozone civic ish. Do not want. I don't know if I'll get the b pillars also though too much cf looks tacky IMO .

TerribleONE 04-03-2012 09:28 AM

Im interested in these as well.. However I have seen some pictures that make the handle look to big and bulky with the cover on.. maybe it was just the angle?

OP if you buy them post up some good pictures!

KaienZ34 04-03-2012 09:37 AM

Simota1....had them for a while, check with him he'll have some more info.

370ZilverZ 04-03-2012 09:39 AM

Our cars look very similar and I was ready to ask the same question. I have ordered the pillars in cf and was wondering about the door handles in cf. Just do not want them to be too much!! Also do not want it to look cheap after all the money I have spent. Is there such a thing as too much cf??? I love the way it looks....:yum:

not tryin to put negative thoughts in your head... but I would try to forget about that or your wait is going to feel like forever.. May I ask what lead time they told you?

Ages 04-03-2012 01:06 PM

Mine is the CS diffuser, quality was great the wait was not. I don't think color matched would look good on mine though I seen some that look sick. I think with my scheme the color needs to be broken up a bit and the handle is a perfect area for that. That's the reason why I left it silver in the 1st place.
Thanks for all the input sofar guys. Keep it coming.

simota1 04-03-2012 01:26 PM

may i chime in :D haha

and a pic a bit further back

http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/z...tostock014.jpg

overall i got alota compliments while i had them on my car.... if you wanna paint em black and love cf this is the perfect mod bro.... fitment is dead on.... now the ONLY draw back.. is that it covers the key hole on the driverside.... jay evor told me this was due to the fact that they handles were molded after the jdm ones.... (the hole was on the passenger side) so his company deleted the hole on the passenger side because he is tryna sell it to the us market and thats why there is no holes for the key as a whole.... i would suggest using a dremel to poke the hole for the key and then you would be all set bro  because if your battery accidently dies you will most likely have to destroy the driver side cover.... since its actually a super tight fit... and these things are thin.... (made that way so no rubbing issues)

8-10 weeks, but last time they said that for my CF wing and CF lip it was way less than that. It's a little better than my 10-12 week wait for my wheels.

simota1 04-03-2012 01:39 PM

i waited 6-8 weeks just for my kit from cs... but on the other hand it was wayyy better than waiting for my damn wing from driveline 3 months

KaienZ34 04-03-2012 01:43 PM

It's funny how this thread is blowing up over a part that came out over two years ago.

Never even seen these before. I think they would look good on my white Z. I got the same rear diffuser as the Ages.

Gurneyeagle...Do you have pics of your door handles painted to match body color...looks like you have a Gun Metallic Z just wondering how it looks like. I saw a few pics in your albums from further away, did you paint them yourself or take it somewhere to get painted?

captain-nok 04-05-2012 02:57 AM

Hanging in there....getting ready for the car show season.

So, I have a CF hood and CF Mine's rear wing add-on with blacked out handles. Do I dare take the chance and get the CF handles or could that be too much?

Yeah, they are painted black to match the TE-37's but little bits of silver are starting to show from rock chips or maybe just due to having gotten it painted over 1 1/2 years ago.

simota1 04-05-2012 07:54 AM

do it then bro!!!!! cf it already!!!

Ages 04-05-2012 09:19 AM

Attachment 44598Hey what's up guys. So I got my handle covers delivered today and I decided to drill a key hole in it. Well the resin cracked... I started with a small pilot hole but still happened . So now I gotta repair it. The question is, does anyone here know what kind of resin I can use for this. Needs to be clear. There are tons of choices out there. Just hoping someone here would know. If you look at the pic you can see where the resin is delaminating from the carbon cloth. I know I gotta chip that away first then apply resin. Thoughts ? Thanks in advance.

simota1 04-11-2012 08:47 PM

pm cfe tony is the man for that job... did you drill it from the back or from the front?

Ages 04-12-2012 12:32 AM

i made the pilot hole from behind then opened it up from the front. when the small bit popped though if pulled the resin away from the CF.

FireDan50 04-14-2012 11:58 AM

Just thought I'd share some pics of this product and my review. Awesome fit and finish. They went on with no problems or modifications, but I did add a little more 3M adhesive tape to make them more secure.
