I'd assume a lot of dirt and junk in general would get stuck in that honeycomb mat.
I have the WeatherTech floor liners in my current car and they seem to work fine for me. They might not be the best looking, but they do their job, which is keeping my carpet clean. My only gripe, however, is that the price tag is pretty steep on those floor liners. |

I was just riding in my buddies GTI and I love those mats. They will never wear out. They look good. And yes you are right they do catch a bunch of grass, sand and dirt...that's the point though isn't it. I would jump all over mats like these with a nice big 370Z molded in.

Well I guess it all depends on one's life style but I don't walk in dirt/mud/gravel too often so I don't get a lot of junk in the honeycomb areas. But I do know what you're talking about. The good thing about them though is that they are super easy to clean. If it does collect a lot of debris all you got to do is remove them from the car and give them a good sake and perhaps a couple of pats and you're good to go. At least that has been our experience.
