They look super clean Mike! Gonna look awesome once painted |
Mike, I know this may sound like a silly question, but why are you leaving the good wheels on while they do this? Once they have the measurements of where you wanted to be, it just seems like you would have put crap wheels or the stockers back on while they're doing all this modding to make sure your good wheels don't get damaged accidentally? :ugh2:

I personally do not want to disclose the total amount of this build or to discuss my financials on a public forum. Thank you for asking in an appropriate thread. I will say including the car the budget has surpassed $120k

All thats left is to wrap up the rear bumper. Finish modding the side skirts and then to redo the front fenders to allow for larger/wider tires.
Once that is complete in the next week or so. The car is back at GTM getting the final touches before coming home !!!! |

Sound good, i'm wondering if you're gonna slap on some stripes at the sides as the wide look will look too plain.. I'm glad your build is almost done, i still remember reading your thread and announcing the white dragon and it's already 2012 now. keep the Z bro  |
I have plenty of vinyl so I may add some clean stripes ;)

I hope that they have not used fiberglass strainded or body filler on the transition of the ABS plastic bumpers, if they did it will not bond well, and will eventually come lose and you'll develope cracks it any areas with a large amount of that filler. The main problem with ABS plastic is that no type of 2 part fiberglass filler or even 2 part epoxy resin really bond to it, in strength tests you can actually pull either fibergass resin or 2 part epoxy resin with slight pressure from a putty knife or screw driver.
The only way you can successfully use these fillers is for small cracks or imperfections, the only way you can bound extra material to ABS plastic, is with a plastic welding process. |
^^^^ that isnt a stock rear bumper its a zele bumper which is pretty much fiberglass.... should be fine... i agree with you with the whole plastic bumper and fiberglass does not bond very well no matter wat....
|
Agree as long as its fiberglass bumper your fine then.

Need an update! :happydance:
|
They have finished the car for the most part. I am waiting for the latest update. I will call them when they open up. I was supposed to get an email yesterday with all the updated pics for you guys ;)
