Removing the inner grill slates

Has anyone done this and or how do you think it would look? I was thinking of removing the black grill slates between the fangs. Just cut them out and file them down neatly to look clean. Any thoughts?

Leaving your radiator exposed to the hazards of the road is not something I would recommend.

I used a rotary tool, to cut everything out. 600 grit sand paper to get all the notches smoothed out, then go over with a finer grit paper, prep and re paint the whole area. I painted all the plastic including the thin plastic strip above the grill opening. Makes everything look legit. Depending on where you drive and what kind of roads your on, goes hand in hand with the risk imo.

only recent pic I have.

Looks horrible :(

Hate it without the fangs.

pedZ 11-19-2011 11:08 PM

They'd be better off driving without a front bumper at all.

This is possiable but not to worried about. I don't DD. Even though it only takes one time. But it is a narrow opening compared to other aftermarket kits.

Nice pic. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Looks better than I imagined.
