Default Disabling the windows

I tried searching, couldn't find it don't bite my head off I know there are a few threads on it. I want to disable the automatic movement of my windows down and up when the door is open and closed for about a week reason being that i got my tints half a year ago and this feature was there and at the corners the tints are peeling off because of it. I also would like to know how to reset the windows to this again.
Thanks

There should be a screw on the window mechanism that you can unscrew and it will allow the windows to become stationary.

It should be a little rubber item on the chassis that is near where the VIN on the door is and you can unscrew it there.

FYI I tinted my car without disabling... from what i understand the rolling is more typically from the tinter not routing the tint behind a plastic tab on the corner. I just avoided unnecessarily opening the door for a day or two.

I think when you disconnect the battery it turns off that feature until you roll down the windows and roll them back up while holding for 4 sec after it reaches the top to reset it.

If you do this, the windows will still go down when you open the door, but will not come back up to where they belong. I think this wouldnt help the op much.

That's the door trigger you're talking about. If that's disconnected, will the interior lights still come on when the door is opened? I've never unplugged one, but usually the door trigger controls the interior lights as well as any chimes, window actuation, etc.

Good question, I guess as long as the key is not in the ignition it should be fine.

I think they might have just messed mine up hopefully they will be willing to redo it since I got it done at the end of the summer and they are already coming off on both sides
