It's pretty sweet. Beats paint and it'll peel right off! Thanks!

Well the paint that most people use to paint the engine cover is rated up to 500 degrees. Not sure whether or not that helps you though.
From my experience though, using plasti dip around hot areas is not a good idea. The heat from my brakes affected the plasti dip on my wheels in some spots and made it a lot harder to get off. I ended up having to use goo gone to dissolve it off, which actually worked very well. It could turn out very good or very bad, but you won't know until you try. Good thing is if it turns out bad, just take off the engine cover and spray it with goo gone. Then you can just wipe off the plasti dip and have it back to stock ![]() |

So I plastidipped my fangs this morning and it was pretty ghetto, having been my first time armed with a can of anything but Chef Boyardee. The untaping was a challenge...especially without a box cutter to clean up the edges. Here are a couple of quick shots I snapped of the first draft of this product. I just picked up a box cutter and some 70% IPA to clean up the surface better so I'll probably redo it this afternoon along with the rear diffuser, emblems, and door handles. I left the bottom strip red to imitate the GTR style bumper. I think it's okay but I might just cover it all up with the plastidip next time. Any thoughts/opinions on this look?

Has anyone tried out the new Blaze colors on dipyourcar.com? What do you guys think about very small amounts of trim in bright green with gloss?

Okay! I got most of the work done this morning. I have yet to dip the rims but I'm actually considering leaving them be. I might try one out and see how I like it and then make a decision from there. But I have uploaded a few shots of the finished product. It came out much better this time around! The box cutter helped more than I had imagined! Much cleaner but still imperfect. Enjoy!
