Help! Blown fuses and "Service Engine Soon" light

Hey guys, so I ran into few issues after trying to re-hardwire my V1 to my homelink which may or may not have lead to my service engine soon light

Default Help! Blown fuses and "Service Engine Soon" light

Hey guys, so I ran into few issues after trying to re-hardwire my V1 to my homelink which may or may not have lead to my service engine soon light coming on and a number of blown fuses. Need your help!!!

This all started a few days ago when I tried to re-attach my homemade invisicord to the homelink. One of the two wires came loose from one of the d-sub 30 pin connectors and so I took it apart and reattached a new connector, tried jamming those pins back into the harness with a set of needle nose pliers. In doing so, I think I reversed the wires might have blown the fuse for my homelink, seat heaters, and potentially more. The garage door opener still works but the green light will not come on for the auto dim feature. I also noticed that my "Service Engine Soon" light came on the very next morning. I assumed that the SES light was due to a loose gas cap but after tightening it, I still have had the SES light on for the last 48 hours or so and have driven roughly 50-75 miles since tightening the cap. I also noticed that my average MPG is not registering on my Nav screen, I only see *s but it is however working on the left-most dash display that reads avg. MPG and MPH.

Last night I ran a OBD2 scan and saw three identical fault codes (which I cant remember off the top of my head, they began with a U, something like U0041) saying something about the air conditioning and heating malfunction. I tried erasing the codes and restarted the car, the SES light turned off and then right back on again moments after and again the car produced the same fault OBD2 code.

Do you think these issues are related or does it sound like something else? Has anyone ran into this before? I have had stillen G3 intake for about 2 years now with no issues, then had the stillen hi flow cats and exhaust installed about a month ago, again with no issues.



So I am going as far as to say I think I "jacked something up" (scientific term) when trying to re-hardwire my V1, which is now just sitting in my glove box until I get some direction from you all. I haven't replaced the fuses yet, wanted to hear if anyone else has ran into a similar predicament and see how fixed it. Thanks in advance for your help.

A U code is a communication code between modules in the car, it typically means one of them does not have power usually due to a blown fuse. Just go through the fuses with an Omh meter (not just a visual check) I am confident you will find a popped fuse.

In the future disconnect your battery before doing anything electrical

Thank you very much, I will give that a try... Once I get my car back tomorrow. Normally I leave any modification work to a professional, but with the V1 I was able to do it once a year or two ago and figured I wouldn't have any issues trying to redo it from memory, guess I was mistaken.

I had to drop off the car this morning back at where I had the exhaust and cats installed to have my exhaust tips readjusted, they didn't sit evenly out of the box. More details to follow on that situation, but I would rather wait to hear from them how its going to be fixed after they speak with Stillen and who is expected to be paying for the necessary fabrication work before I really comment on all of that. Lets just say I expect all parties involved to work together to come to some sort of reasonable solution that doesn't put little old me in the hole another grand or so...
