Default Plasti Dipping Undercarriage Opinions?

Hey guys

Unfortunately I will have to drive my Z in the winter. Mass Winter, is hit or miss but anyways buying a winter beater is out of the question due to mass sales tax, insurance costs, etc. I'm going get blizzaks most likey however I want to protect the undercarriage. My last car was from new hampshire and was a rust bucket (poor eclipse gsx)

I think Jeep guys do this and coat the undercarriage with a few layer of plasti dip. What are you opinions about this. Haven't gotten under the car yet to see whats exposed so im not sure how much area there is to cover and paint need to cover it.

I can't see it holding up. Go to car washes and/or spend the money on a rhino liner or soemthing

I used Duplicolor bed liner coating on the underside of my skirts, holding up so far pretty good, but not sure how far I would go on the underside, I don't think Plastic Dip wouldn't hold up too well against the cinders, etc...

Plasti dip will absolutely not hold up. I can only imagine looking under there after a tough winter and seeing tatters of it hanging down. Bleh.

As for truck bed liner, I just Herculined the whole floor of my 4runner, and I can't imagine laying under a car and trying to apply it. It would just be a mess for the places other than the above listed side skirts. And it's heavy.

I would get a professional undercoating done. It might be expensive, but will essentially last for the life of the car.
