Rear emblems

Where exactly is the emblem supposed to go?

I'm talking about the 370z/Fairlady Z emblem.

The 370z emblem is on the rear bumper stock, but why do I see Fairlady emblems on the hatch in some photos?

Personal preference I believe. Since it's not USDM, people put it "wherever".
